Paying for searches you already win
Your ads keep bidding on branded searches where you already take most of the clicks without them.
A senior strategist reads your Search Query Performance data every week, finds the step where shoppers drop off on each search, and turns it into changes to your bids, listings and price, reported in a weekly Share Report.

Amazon Brand Analytics is a free set of reports for brand owners in Brand Registry. Its Search Query Performance (SQP) report shows, for every search, how many shoppers saw, clicked, added to cart and bought, and what share of each went to your brand.
Reports we use
Brand AnalyticsImpressions, clicks, cart adds and purchases on your top 1,000 searches, with your brand’s share of each.
The same funnel by product, so we can see which ASIN is losing shoppers.
The three most-clicked products on each search, with their click and conversion share.
Bundles worth building and products worth a reorder push.
Your ads console shows your clicks and sales. It does not show your share of the market. These four leaks only show up in SQP.
Your ads keep bidding on branded searches where you already take most of the clicks without them.
Your impression share is high but your click share drops, usually on price, main image or reviews.
Shoppers add you to cart and buy elsewhere: a lost featured offer, stock, price or delivery speed.
High-volume searches where your share is close to zero, and nobody has noticed.
Four steps, every week. From the raw report to a change in your bids, budgets, listing or price.
Your top 1,000 searches and the top 100 for each ASIN, pulled every week and saved.
For each search, the step where your share drops, so the fix matches the problem.
Bids and budgets, the listing, the price or the offer: whichever the data points to.
Your share of the searches that matter, week by week, in one short report.
The funnel, share gaps, branded overlap, price, delivery speed and your rivals. Pick one to see what it shows.
For each search, we compare your share of impressions, clicks, cart adds and purchases. The step where your share falls tells us whether to fix bids, the listing, the price or the offer.

In your report| Step | Your share | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Impressions | 18% | Strong |
| Clicks | 11% | Drop |
| Purchases | 7% | Watch |
We rank searches by volume and by the gap between the market and your share, so the next dollar goes where there is the most to win.
Share gaps · sample
In your report| Search | Volume | Your share |
|---|---|---|
| “slow feeder dog bowl” | 41.2k | 7% |
| “dog bowl for large dogs” | 28.9k | 2% |
| “metal dog bowl” | 19.4k | 21% |
On your brand searches, we compare the clicks you win organically with what your ads add. Where you already win most of them, we cut bids and move the budget to searches you don’t own yet.
Branded searches · sample
In your report| Branded search | Your click share | Action |
|---|---|---|
| “[brand] dog bowl” | 92% | Cut bids |
| “[brand]” | 88% | Defend |
| “[brand] feeder” | 61% | Keep |
SQP shows the median price of what shoppers clicked and bought on each search. When yours sits well above the market, price is the problem, not your bids.
Median click price · sample
In your report| Search | You | Market |
|---|---|---|
| “slow feeder dog bowl” | $24.99 | $21.40 |
| “metal dog bowl” | $19.99 | $20.10 |
| “dog bowl set” | $29.99 | $26.50 |
SQP splits each search by same-day, 1-day and 2-day delivery. If shoppers buy the faster options and you are not one of them, more ad spend will not fix it.

In your report| Delivery | Market purchases | Your share |
|---|---|---|
| Same-day | 14% | 0% |
| 1-day | 38% | 6% |
| 2-day | 48% | 11% |
Top Search Terms shows the three most-clicked products on each search, with their click and conversion share. We use it to see which rivals take the share SQP says you are missing.
